1. What is the cost and shipping time? For some countries there are no additional shipping fees, for others the amounts may vary. It is up to the buyer to check these rates on our website, they will be displayed before checkout when the destination address is entered. As the swords are crafted abroad by our exclusive Katanakaji (master swordsmith), the delivery time is around 30 calendar days.

2. Are the swords functional and sharp? Yes, our swords are hand-forged following ancient traditions and are functional and sharp unless you request a blunt blade. They are designed for impact training, offering a perfect balance between cutting, blade strength, weight, and practicality. We are a reference among professional Tameshigiri practitioners.

3. Can I pay in installments? Yes, we offer interest-free installment payments in up to 3 installments directly on our Espadas Katana platform. To pay in up to 12 interest-free installments, visit our Mercado Shops (click here), where we offer this option. We accept all payment methods.

4. What is the cost of the import tax? The import tax varies from country to country. It is up to the buyer to inform themselves about the existence of these taxes. Our store is not responsible for taxes charged by governments.

5. What is the hierarchy of steels in terms of strength? The hierarchy of steels used in forging, from the most basic to the most advanced, is:

  1. Folded Carbon 1060
  2. Folded Carbon 1095
  3. Galvanized Damascus 2048 (colored blade)
  4. 9260
  5. T10
  6. Damascus 2048 (natural color blade)
  7. Damascus 32768 (with 32,768 hardness layers, from 15 folds in the steel)

All of our swords are prepared for professional training, regardless of the steel used.

6. How does the return policy work? We accept returns within 30 days after receiving the purchase. The sword must be returned in the same condition it was sent, without damage or scratches. Return shipping is at the buyer's expense. After receiving and analyzing the sword, the buyer will receive a full refund of the order value.

7. Can I customize the sword? Yes, you can customize pre-made models by choosing available parts and colors in the "Customization" tab of the listing. You can also create a sword from scratch by visiting the "Customization" page.

8. Do you have a physical store with ready-to-ship items? No, we only work with orders. The order will be forged by our exclusive Katanakaji abroad and shipped directly to the buyer once it is ready. All swords are customizable and made to order, respecting the millennial tradition of forging.

9. Does the sword come with a display stand? No, the sword is sent with a sheath and silk cover. The stands shown in the images are illustrative and not for sale.

10. Do you forge swords different from oriental models? No, we only forge swords in oriental styles such as Katana, Chisa Katana (Ko-katana), Wakizashi, Tantô, Ninjato, and Jian. We do not forge large swords like Nodachi due to transportation limitations.

11. Do the swords come with a forging certificate? Yes, all of our swords come with a forging certificate. The certificates are sent digitally and are valid as an official certificate of the Shotokann forge worldwide.

We send the certificates digitally for several reasons:

  1. Sustainability: We reduce paper usage and contribute to environmental preservation.
  2. Speed and Convenience: Digital delivery allows you to receive your certificate immediately after the forging process is completed, without waiting for mail.
  3. Security and Storage: Digital certificates are easier to store and less likely to be lost or damaged. You can keep them safe in your email or storage device.
